Pet We are getting close to our goal! We've collected over 1100 lbs. of food so far and our goal is 1500 lbs. Please try to help us reach our goal by dropping off some food to Club Dogz. The food banks are really in need of cat food of any kind. In these economic times and with the cost of pet food, animal organizations, rescues and citizens of Frederick are finding it hard to feed the animals in their care. The Pet Food Drive for Frederick County is collecting food for all types of pets. We are accepting any type of non perishable, in date, sealed pet foods and other gently used or new non edible items. There are a large amount of organizations, rescues and fosterers that depend solely on donations to care for and feed the animals left in their care. Also families that may be facing some rough times and need a little help with food are welcome to call and be directed to where they may pick up food or other necessary items. We are hoping to collect enough food and items to supply the Frederick County Animal Control (the shelter), the Humane Society’s food bank, the Animal Welfare League of Frederick County and any Frederick County Rescues expressing a need for help.
Any person donating food will receive a listing on our website and a free RX card to use for your pet prescriptions that you pick up at human pharmacies. This is a discount card which can save you 10-20% off pharmacy pet meds and most pharmacies accept the card. You may specify which charity receives your donation or it will be distributed to the location that needs what you bring in. You will receive a tax deductible form for your records. Businesses wanting to donate will receive a listing on our website with a link to your business website and the above mentioned RX card.
Individual and Business Sponsors The kick off date is Tuesday December 1st and we will end the drive when enough food has been collected. Please help us help Frederick animals in need. Club Dogz Doggie Daycare is sponsoring the Pet Food Drive for Frederick County and all donations are to be dropped at their location at 423 East Patrick Street, Frederick. Rescues or other organizations may contact Terry at Club Dogz to be included to receive items and or food. We will list all organizations receiving donations from the Food Drive and their websites on our Club Dogz website.
