Here is a summary of our lesson plan.

Puppy Class is all about communication, correcting unwanted behaviors such as barking, nipping and biting, jumping, and digging, instilling good manners, and learning basic commands. You will also learn about your dogs basic health and well-being.

Puppy Class / Manners Note: Each lesson will start with a review of the previous lesson, and if time permits, will end with a play session.

Lesson 1
* Discussion on housebreaking and teething tips.
* Discussion on the adolescent stage of your dogs life.
* Discussion on grooming and weight.
* Learn about food, eating habits, and exercise.

Lesson 2
* Communicate in dog language using both your voice and body.
* Correct unwanted behaviors ... barking, biting, jumping, and digging.
* Learn commands: leave it; drop it; no bark; quiet; no bite; and off.
* Discuss tools such as bitter apple, penny cans, and spray bottles.

Lesson 3
* Learn commands: sit, wait, watch, and release.
* Go for a short practice walk.

Lesson 4
* Learn commands: down, watch, and release.
* Learn attention getting exercise.
* Learn loose-lead recalls.
* Go for a short practice walk.

* Learn restricted recall
* Learn the get-it game
